A nomadic life full of experiences, travels, and relocations.

A notebook of notes and drawings that reflect his journey through different cities, countries, and cultures; and the lingering longing for a place to call "home."

This could summarize the recent years of Dante Zaballa, a self-taught artist, animator, illustrator, and musician, who’s been developing a series of paintings filled with moments he wants to preserve in his memory.

"I’ll keep this moment" he repeats before transforming encounters, conversations, walks, and talks into improvised sketches, which he translates into paintings with explosions of shapes, colors, and a vital and playful expressiveness.

His work is characterized by vivid colours and fluid forms with influences ranging from painting and animation to contemporary drawing and visual culture.

Across different mediums, he is interested in creating images that feel alive, unstable and open to interpretation.
